What a crazy adventure this last year has been. From losing my job, to moving 800 miles away from my family and friends to Texas, and to ultimately deciding it was time for a change and to move back to the Midwest; this year has certainly had it’s ups and downs, nothing can compare to this upcoming year. With week one down in a new job, I’m excited for a new opportunity in retail marketing, something that will allow me to utilize my strengths and passions, but with a twist. I can not wait to dig in to this new career and challenge. And what will be the biggest yet most exciting challenge and change will be starting a family this June.
Today I’m 21 weeks along and Blair and I couldn’t be more excited for this new little adventure. My first trimester was definitely a rollercoaster in itself, with a terrible time with morning sickness that was really all the time sickness and was an emotional ride spending the first 19 weeks away from my husband. But I like to think everything happens for a reason and I will cherish the 8 months I spent in Houston. I’ve made some wonderful friends and some memories I won’t forget, but I am so ready for 2018 and all it has to bring. What I’ve learned is that dreams evolve, and I was ready for a change. So here’s to 2018, I can not wait.
