I wanted to share my recent MUST HAVES that I’ll be stocking up on during this sale, featuring all things beauty, including hair and skincare!
Ever since I had Brooklyn, my hair has become drier and more brittle and I’m sure it doesn’t help that I’ve had balayage done since then. OLAPLEX products have literally saved my hair. These products are moisturizing and actually strengthen and repair dry and damaged hair. My hair has never felt this silky and soft and I owe it all to these Olaplex products and better yet, all products have clean ingredients.
Right now for the holidays you can get their Holiday Hair Fix Set for only $58 (a $84 value!) I legit stock up whenever Olaplex is on sale!
My personal favorites are:
No. 5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner: Holy grail status conditioner where truly a little bit goes a long way. While I recommend all Olaplex products, this one is by far my absolute favorite and must have of the line.
No. 4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo: Cleanses the hair without leaving any residue, when paired with the Bond Maintenance Conditioner, my hair literally changes with one wash. I like to use this combo at least every 2 washes or so to fully cleanse my hair.
No. 3 Hair Perfector: A treatment for your hair to really nourish and give your hair LIFE. I like to leave this on my ends at night and wash in the morning to really address my dry and damaged ends. This literally REPAIRS your hair with a bond-building technology.
No. 7 Bonding Oil: This is the best hair oil I’ve ever used. There, I said it. It nourishes my end without making my hair greasy, which I sometimes find hair oil does since I have naturally fine hair.
My choice this holiday is the Drunk Elephant The Little Set. I bought this last year and was obsessed. It’s a great way to try out the line, which is truly fabulous. It’s a little pricey, these are great sizes that will last you a couple months. Also makes a great gift!
For a more opening price point, this Sephora collection of Masks is only $25 and includes EIGHT different masks for you to try, literally head to toe.
Be sure to read all about my more recommended skincare products in my Skincare Must Haves: Oily & Hormonal Skin blog post where I go in depth on what I use and why.
My most recent favorites are from OLEHENRIKSON and SUNDAY RILEY.
OLEHENRIKSON: I’ve tried their products before, but recently purchased their Truth Serum (Vitamin C Serum). Lucky me, I have oily and hormonal skin while also being in my 30s so I’m trying to fight off wrinkles while I can. Truth Serum is a fantastic product, which I prefer over other Vitamin C products I’ve tried. Not only does it include Vitamin C, but also Collegan, so it is brightening, hydrating, and firming your skin.
I’ve also recently purchased their Balancing Force Oil Control Toner and have also converted to this over my previous product. Not harsh or drying like other toners, this magically toner helps with pores, oiliness, and leaves my skin feeling refreshed every morning and night.
Another recent purchase from SUNDAY RILEY is cult favorites Luna Retinol Sleeping Oil and Good Genes All-In-One Lactic Acid Treatment. Sephora has this dynamic duo for a $105 value at only $85, and with 20% off, it’s basically a steal, with their Power Couple set. Great for fine lines, wrinkles, as well as helping with complexion, this duo is basically holy grail for women who struggle with the same concerns as I do.
I’m all about a palette that can do it all and the Ambient Lighting Edit Face Palette is IT. I have the unlocked palette which quickly sold out and use it everyday. Hourglass literally had the most beautiful products and this is SUCH a good value and way to try a variety of products.
Another palette I have my eye on is the Luxury Eyeshadow Palette. There are a variety of different colors, but the Pillow Talk palette looks INSANE. Charlotte Tilbury also has this complete palette that includes everything you need, face and eye and I’m all about that convenient life these days.
Sephora sale are THE PERFECT time to stock up on foundation and other face products. You wear them almost everyday and lets be real, face products can be pricey. If you are like me and you go through a bottle every month or so, stocking up during these sales can be a game changer.
For my oily skin gals, I recommend Hourglass’s Vanish Seamless Finish Liquid is serious perfection. It gives you the most airbrushed, flawless coverage and lasts throughout the day. Best part, all you need is one pump for your whole face so you aren’t wasting product. Another favorite and frequent repurchase is YSL face products. Their All Hours Foundation is the perfect soft matte foundation. It’s crazy long lasting with a finish perfect for oily skin girls like myself. I like to pair it with their All Hours Concealer, creamy and comfortable on the skin, this product is my go to for highlighting and concealing under the eye. Finally I bake with Hourglass’s Veil Translucent Setting Power over the areas that I conceal. It doesn’t leave a crazy white cast like other setting powders and really creates a beautiful highlight.
Like foundation, I wear a nude lipstick everyday. Now it’s not your conceal lip nude like I know we all rocked back in the 2000s, but more of the perfect pink nude, almost like your natural lips, but better.
I’ve talked about the NARS Velvet Lip Glides before, and they stand the test of time. My favorite colors are Unlaced and Stripped in these pigmented, semi-matte finishes that are yet so perfectly hydrating. For a luxury lippie, I’ve almost finished my Marc Jacob Lip Creme Lipstick, which says a lot because who actually finishes a lipstick? The color Sonic Truth may be the only lipstick you ever need.
Charlotte Tilbury doesn’t disappoint though with their Hot Lips Lipstick 2. I snatched up JK Magic for a more peachy nude when I want to add a little warm to my everyday look. I’ve truly been on a Charlotte Tilbury kick so I’ve just placed two more orders, one is Kim. K.W for that perfect true nude, and then the iconic Pillow Talk Lip Set, which is more of a pinky nude.
Who says you can’t be tan all year round? If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know I’ve been experimenting with several different self tanner brands and products. My picks for the Sephora sale will definitely have to be from Tan Luxe. The packaging is gorgeous for one and the color is absolutely beautiful. I HATE orange self tanners and these Tan Luxe products deliver a gorgeous bronze glow. For an instant tan, I recommend the quick drying, deliciously smelling Hydra-Mousse. Didn’t think something like that existed huh? Most instant self tanners take forever to dry, smell, and leave an instant residue. The Hydra-Mousse can be applied and then I can instantly go to bed, I love it. And for every day, I swear by their new Super Glow Hyaluronic Self Tanning Drops. The color is gradual, natural, and it also provides hydration to the skin!
Honestly, I’m such a fan of the Sephora Samplers. Stock up on 13 samples of various fragrances, but then you get a certificate for a FREE full size fragrance from the set. It’s seriously such a deal.
