Skincare is something that as I’ve gotten older, I’ve been making more of an effort in taking the best possible care of my skin. My skin has always been OILY with few breakouts, but I’ve noticed a change since I’ve had my two girls. I’m in my thirties now, my skin is aging, changing, and has different needs.

How do I battle this new skin? With oil, breakouts, AND aging? Below are my favorite items, some new loves and some old favorites.
My face gets SO oily and I love me a good cake face. So it is incredibly important that I CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN my skin.
Makeup Remover: Elemis Cleansing Balm. Yep. It’s worth the hype and just melts off everything.
Cleansing Oil and Gel: Did I mention I’m all about convenience when it comes to my skincare? Tatcha is one of my favorite brands; a luxury, clean label that really provides beautiful products. My go to cleansers include The Pure One Step Camellia Oil Cleanser and The Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser. I like to use the oil cleanser to help with anti-aging, preventing fine lines and wrinkles. And the exfoliating gel cleanser I use when I need a solution for my oil and breakouts. Beginning with the Pure One Step Camellia Oil Cleanser , Sephora.com describes the cleanser as:
“A two-in-one makeup remover and cleanser with camellia oil that gently melts away impurities, even waterproof makeup, leaving behind pure, silky soft skin.”
Regarding The Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser:
“A daily gel cleanser with natural fruit exfoliant that thoroughly but gently lifts impurities and unclogs pores while leaving skin soft and hydrated.”
And these products do just that. They lather beautifully and rinse off easily, leaving no residue. My skin has never felt so soft and subtle than it did after using this cleansers.
Don’t forget the toner. After I’ve thoroughly cleansed my face. Obsessed with the Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads which exfoliate and are convenient and easy to use. I use these twice a day, one in the morning and at night after I clean my face. The Fresh Rose & Hyaluronic Acid Deep Hydration Toner is also beautiful and hydrating, plus it looks great on your sink. I find this helps control my oil, tightens my pores, and helps refreshes my skin.
Moisturizers are extremely important, even with the oiliest of skin. The best moisturizers can provide balance with your skin, and if you are like me, I would highly recommend using a gel moisturizer vs. a heavy cream or lotion.
Olehenriksen C-Rush Brightening Gel Creme This is a favorite for me. What I love about this moisturizer is that it is supposed to help with fine lines and wrinkles and also has 3 sources of vitamin C in it, which is so incredibly important for your skin. I feel like this is my new “grown up” moisturizer. There is also a complimentary eye cream, the Banana Bright Eye Creme, which includes vitamin C and noticeable brightens the under eye area, which I am all about.
Tatcha Water Gel Another favorite. This moisturizer is pricey, but it’s beautiful, like all Tatcha products. It’s super light weight and includes 23-karat gold dust that is supposed to give your skin a glow. A little extra yes?
At night I love the Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream which feels like a legit spa experience when I apply this.
You know what I love about masks? You can treat yourself to a little self love in the comfort of your home. There are few things I enjoy better than relaxing at home in the comfiest sweats, glass of wine, and a face mask. I prefer face sheets purely because of the ease of them. Slap it on my face, relax for 20 minutes, toss it and you are done! My routine has me applying a mask almost every Sunday, as a treat for the end of the week.
One of my favorite face masks are from Dr. Jart. They have a variety of different types of masks, but my go to are the rubber masks. The rubber masks are a two part system that works with a concentrated serum + rubber mask. I always have Firm Lover and Clear Skin Lover on hand since we’ve established those are my two biggest skin concerns. After the mask, you skin feels cool and refreshed.
To help improve my over skin tone so i’ve introduced serums into my skincare routine and have been loving Lancome Advanced Genifique Face Serum and Renergie H. C.F. Triple Serum (I highly recommend the entire Renergie collection as we love skincare that can do it all). Advanced Génifique Serum improves elasticity and improves the appearance of fine lines caused by dehydration or due to thinning skin. This stuff is a game changer and can impact your skin in as little as 7 days. HCF though may be my new favorite because we love a convenient moment. HCF stands for Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C+ Niacinamide, and Ferulic Acid and is designed to deliver optimal anti-aging benefits in one triple dose and targets volume loss, wrinkles, and dark spots.
