Current Beauty Must Haves

One of my most asked questions is about my beauty favorites so here they are, my ride or dies.

I wanted to share my recent MUST HAVES , some are oldies, some are newbies, but they are all fire.

SKINCARE

My skin is quite oily and acne prone and now in my 30s, i’m also dealing with fine lines and wrinkles.  I’m quite particular about what I use on my skin and this is where I will invest in the most because your skin is literally your foundation. We need to keep her happy and hydrated.

Makeup Remover: Elemis Cleansing Balm. Yep. It’s worth the hype.

Cleanser: Pure One Step Camellia Oil Cleanser. Literally milky and insanely beautiful. Recently testing a more affordable option from Vitamins and Sea Beauty.

Moisturizer: I need something lightweight during the day, so I’ll grab the OLEHENRIKSEN C-Rush Brightening Creme which is a gel moisturizer,  but at night I love the Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream which feels like a legit spa experience when I apply this.

Toner: Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads exfoliate and are convenient and easy to use. I use these twice a day, one in the morning and at night after I clean my face. The Fresh Rose & Hyaluronic Acid Deep Hydration Toner is also beautiful and hydrating, plus it looks great on your sink.

Serum: Lancome Advanced Genifique Face Serum and Renergie H. C.F. Triple Serum (I highly recommend the entire Renergie collection as we love skincare that can do it all).

MAKEUP

Little makeup hack, instead of using eye shadow, use bronzer and blush instead. I’ve moved away from using a lot of eyeshadow and will use the same bronzer that i contour with in my crease to give it some dimension. My favorites are I’m all about a palette that can do it all and the Ambient Lighting Palette is IT. Hourglass literally had the most beautiful products and this is SUCH a good value. It’s an investment but it’s a straight up 10/10.

For my oily skin gals, holy grail Lancome Teint Idole Ultrawear Foundation is serious perfection. It gives you the beautiful coverage and lasts throughout the day. It feels light weight and is very buildable. That paired with the creamy and hydrating Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear All Over concealer and it’s *Chef’s Kiss*.  I recently have been testing Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear Care and Glow though and it may be my new favorite Lancome foundation. It’s more medium but buildable coverage with a glowy, not greasy finish. With a  82% hydrating serum base formula, it’s skincare infused foundation is powered by hydrating Hyaluronic Acid and smoothing Mandelic Acid and we love the convenience.

Another favorite and frequent repurchase is YSL face products. Their All Hours Foundation is the perfect soft matte foundation. It’s crazy long lasting with a finish perfect for oily skin girls like myself. I like to pair it with their All Hours Concealer, creamy and comfortable on the skin, this product is a luxury and one of my favorites for highlighting and concealing under the eye. Want a drugstore foundation that performs like a high end foundation? Maybeline Fit Me is it. Less that $8 and medium coverage and a matte finish that last throughout the day.

Finally I bake with Huda Beauty Easy Bake Setting Powder over the areas that I conceal. It doesn’t leave a crazy white cast like other setting powders and really creates  an airbrush finish.

My go to is a nude lipstick everyday. Now it’s not your conceal lip nude like I know we all rocked back in the 2000s, but more of the perfect pink nude, almost like your natural lips, but better. Charlotte Tilbury doesn’t disappoint with their OG favs with my absolute favorite being Kim. K.W for that perfect true nude, and you can’t go wrong with the iconic Pillow Talk Lip Set, which is more of a pinky nude.

For that cat eye you know I love, I like to use Fenty or Lancome. Both are super pigmented and require little pressure when applying.

For lashes, your girl loves some drama and a fake lash. My favorites are by Moxie Lash, specifically the bougie lashes. I stock up every time they have a sale! My natural lashes need some love so I’ve been trying out Lancome’s new mascara, Le 8 Hypnose, which actually provides instant volume and sculpting while revitalizing your lashes in 4 weeks.

FRAGRANCE

I perfect warm floral scents with a little spice! Think jasmine, vanilla, and orange blossom!

Some of my favorite scents are: YSL Black Opium, Viktor & Rolf Flower Bomb, and Lancome La Vie Est Belle
